My Training Philosophy
I believe in allowing dogs to have a choice in their training. The secret to being a successful trainer is finding and applying the appropriate motiviation for each dog. Building a strong working relationship with a dog is essential to creating a happy and successful dog / handler team.
My role as an instructor and coach is to assist in training the dogs but, more importantly, to help the handler build, maintain and reinforce their working relationship with their dog by providing insight, feedback and techinical instruction.

Focus on what you want and need to learn!
Whether you are just starting out or have been competing for years, we all need help sometimes. I am ready to assist with:
- Foundation Training
- Obstacle Training
- Handling Moves
- All-around Coaching
- Teaching both the dog and the handler
- 30 or 60 minutes
Learn why things went right or wrong!
Sometimes it's hard to tell what went wrong while you are running and, if you don't have a lot of experience, you may not be able to tell on the video. With feedback and suggestions, I can help you see more:
- Was it something you did or didn't do?
- Did your dog not read the cue you gave or just not understand it?
- Would a different type of cross or way of handling have given your dog timelier information?
- What steps, if any, should you take to prevent the same problem from happening again?
If desired, I can also provide practice sequences to work on using the equipment and space you have available.
Boost your at-home training with courses designed just for you!
Whether you are just starting out and only have a few jumps or have been training for years and have a complete agility course in your backyard, I can provide a setup personalized to your space and equipment, with course and handling suggestions.
- Numbered or un-numbered layouts with handling suggestions

- Full courses up to 20 obstacles.
